The night before my birthday, I watched/heard the new Beatles song twice after reading all sorts of takes on it, from useless snark to unabashed reverie. I found it deep and soulful and felt like Paul and Ringo paid the greatest respect to John and his song. Nothing flashy, but lots of love behind it and inside it. They were my inspiration to play music in so many ways. Great songs and screaming girls? Are you kidding! I love these guys, the work they did, their great wit & intelligence, and the beautiful vibe they emanated. The Beatles will forever be one of the greatest bringers of love, humor, creativity and inspiration in human history. The song propelled me into this piece - variations on what I took in from first hearing Now and Then. Enjoy)))
